Palliative Consultation

Have you recently received a palliative diagnosis of cancer, cardiac disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), kidney failure, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or another serious illness? Are you unsure of what this means for you and your family? Your head is swirling, and your worst fears feel closer and closer to reality. You can’t keep up with all the professionals involved and appointments you need to keep. You aren’t sure how to explain your situation to family or friends, especially young children or elderly parents. Life seems so fragile and confusing.

OR

Have you been riding the roller coaster of palliative care for too long? Are you feeling lost and alone even with others around you? Reactions to the grief that often comes with facing one’s mortality are natural, normal, and expected.

Whatever your current prognosis or past experience, I invite you to my office or meet you where you are to learn about your medical status, thoughts, hopes, and fears.

We will work together to understand, advocate for, and plan your goals of care. Together, we will learn the language that works for you to communicate your goals to family, friends, and palliative team. We will explore your goals and discover a path that fits who you are and what you want your legacy to be.

When you are ready to plan the rest of your life, I invite you to call me at (902) 445-4100.
