About Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy identifies and explores unworkable behaviours, thoughts, and feelings, and assists clients to move toward the life they desire.

Psychotherapy may involve the deep exploration of underlying causes of client complaints, however, the ultimate goal is to make positive changes in the client’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in the here and now.

I support clients from many backgrounds facing various challenges within a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental relationship.

My psychotherapy services include the following:

  • Individual
Whether or not mental health goals involve improved relationships with others, individual support is often helpful with establishing an improved relationship with oneself. Relationship issues can also be explored within the unique therapist-client relationship.
  • Group
Group therapy can be an effective environment to improve social dynamics or explore issues in a safe environment. Clients can also get support, inspiration, and ideas from peers who are struggling with similar issues.
  • Family
I work with family members experiencing loss or end-of-life circumstances.

I am a former Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario with the CRPO and a current Registered Counselling Therapist in Nova Scotia with the NSCCT. My fees may qualify for partial or full reimbursement under some extended medical benefit policies. Please check with your policy provider to determine whether or not you are covered prior to your first session. I cannot accept responsibility for services that are not covered.
